Meet Kaylee

Hello! I am so glad that you have chosen to step on your mat and explore how yoga can enrich your life with the instruction of an experienced teacher. My yoga journey began over a decade ago, first out of curiosity and then out of necessity, when years of sports-related injuries had me crawling to my mat for recovery. I soon realized that this practice offered much more than a gentle space to heal my body. Yoga has illuminated many aspects of my life that move far beyond the physical realm. Through working with students, I have seen yoga reveal itself uniquely to each individual. It is my hope as a teacher to share this practice so that you can experience the personal gift of yoga.

My teaching emphasis is on anatomy-informed instruction, asana technique, intelligent sequencing, and an exploration of alignment that supports each individual’s unique body. I enjoy breaking down concepts in a way that is simple and easy to digest. I want the practice and teachings of Yoga to be accessible to anyone and everyone.

My classes are infused with philosophical themes, poetry, mantras, and sound healing instrumentation. In class, you will explore the power of breath and movement coordination, mindfulness techniques, and questions of inquiry to deepen your connection with yourself. Whether you are a brand new, returning, or experienced practitioner - I look forward to helping you practice yoga in a way that is authentic and accessible for you.

I studied with world-renowned alignment and anatomy teacher Jason Crandell, and have over 1000 registered training hours on various topics from injury management to restorative yoga.

You can practice with me one-on-one, online, through Yoga Teacher Training, on retreat, or in-studio at Black Swan Yoga Austin and Austin Bouldering Project.
